The annual NAB Group Exhibition and Open Studios is a chance to see the work of building artists in the gallery spaces and in working studios that are open to the public for the afternoon. Each year the event draws a sizable crowd to see the group exhibition in Pagus Gallery, meet the artists who work on three floors of studios, and enjoy refreshments. Stop by and see me in Studio B4 on the ground floor (Washington Street entrance).

My painting Lifeline (2017, oil on canvas, 48" h x 30" w) will be on view at A.I.R. Gallery in Brroklyn January 4 - February 4, 2018. The exhibition CURRENTS 2018 is curated by Barbara Zucker, a founding member of the gallery. Public Reception is Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6-8 pm. A.I.R Gallery is a permanent exhibition space that supports an open exchange of ideas and risk–taking by women artists. Since 1972, when a group of visionary women artists opened the first gallery space at 97 Wooster Street in Soho, A.I.R. Gallery has been leading the way in championing women artists, increasing their visibility and the viability of their endeavors.
Guardians of the Meadow is on view from February 2 - April 30 at Pendle Hill Retreat Center in Wallingford, PA. Public reception is Sunday, February 12 from 2-4 pm.

During the weekend of April 17-19, 2015 fifty artists were invited to paint en plein air at Mill Grove, the historic childhood home and grounds of the wonderful animal illustrator John James Audubon. As a painter, nature lover and bird watcher, I have referenced his work many times, and Mill Grove is just 10 minutes from my home. Participating artists were asked to submit one painting for a fund-raising cocktail reception on Friday, April 24 and I am pleased that my painting of one of the resident owls, titled Audubon Owl, was purchased that evening. During the months of July and August I participated in a 6-week residency and critique program at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. One of nine artists in the program, we had 24-hour access to a private studio and weekly critiques with PAFA faculty and arts professionals: Neysa Grassi, Elizabeth Osborne, Harry Philbrick, Bruce Samuelson, Astrid Bowlby and Linda Lee Alter. The experience was jam-packed with useful feedback and constructive advice that significantly influenced my work. This was the second critique for me at PAFA. Earlier in March 2014 I spent a Saturday with twelve artists in a critique with faculty Joshua Marsh and Michael Gallagher. The highly interactive session provided opportunity to understand how arts professionals view work, from a formal perspective, within art historical context and also in terms of emotive response. As artists, we were engaged to offer insights and discuss our own work; a remarkably rewarding experience.
